Demonstrations

Integrated Biological Restoration Demonstration

The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory serves as the Onsite Integrator for the Interagency Biological Restoration Demonstration (IBRD) program being conducted in the Seattle urban area and at Fort Lewis. This program will develop a blueprint for the recovery and restoration of large urban areas and Department of Defense installations in the event of aerosol release of a biological agent. The Laboratory provides management and administration for the project, facilitates collaborations, and coordinates technology integration and training.

Scalable Reasoning System (SRS) Demonstration

The goal of this demonstration is to create a system that can be widely deployed to 1) improve the ability of organizations to reason with up-to-date, geo-referenced information, 2) create shared situational awareness through automated, context-driven information dissemination. The project includes a series of operational workshops to clarify needs and priorities; an investigation into the potential of integrating SRS and future visual analytics technologies into the existing infrastructure; and responder training.
